David Swann is a folk singer and songwriter. He writes songs about the people, places and history of his native North Yorkshire, as well as songs about love lost and found. He accompanies himself on acoustic guitar and always encourages audience participation. He likes to get his audiences singing his catchy choruses. David has won many awards including the best new song about Yorkshire for the Song for Yorkshire Competition organised by BBC Radio York, the inaugural Songwriting Competition at Bedale Acoustic Music Festival as well as an anthem writing competition for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
