An Evening with Toby Buckland

Toby Buckland is a lifelong gardener, horticulturalist and broadcaster, and one of Britain’s best-known gardening voices. A Devon boy, Toby began his career as an apprentice at a local rose nursery before working in a botanic garden and moving into television, where he became a familiar face on BBC Gardeners’ World and the BBC’s RHS Chelsea Flower Show coverage.

He is also a regular contributor to Telegraph Gardening, and Devon Life, as well as working as a garden consultant to a local estate.

Toby is the founder of Toby’s Garden Festival, a hugely popular celebration of gardening, plants, traditional crafts, food and the great outdoors, held at the beautiful Powderham Castle in Devon. Launched to support small growers and artisan makers, the festival has grown into a much-loved annual event known for its friendly and inclusive atmosphere.
