Magic, mayhem and merriment await as Pickering Musical Society proudly presents the spectacular family pantomime Sleeping Beauty!

When the beautiful Princess Aurora is cursed by the evil Carabosse, the kingdom is plunged into despair. Despite the efforts of the kind-hearted Diamond Fairy, the wicked spell cannot be undone. As Aurora’s sixteenth birthday approaches, fate takes a dramatic turn, and only the brave Prince Rupert can hope to defeat the forces of evil. Will true love conquer all? Will good triumph over wickedness? And can our hilarious comedy characters avoid causing complete chaos along the way?

Renowned for producing some of the area’s most talked-about pantomimes, Pickering Musical Society’s productions have become legendary, and this year’s show promises to be every bit as spectacular. Expect stunning costumes, dazzling scenery, magical special effects, fabulous musical numbers, side-splitting comedy and, of course, plenty of audience participation. It’s everything you love about traditional pantomime, brought to life on a grand scale.

Audiences will be delighted to welcome back the much-loved Panto Gang, led by Pickering panto favourite Marcus Burnside as the irrepressible Dame Lucy Lastic. Joining him are familiar favourites Paula Cook, John Brooks, Danielle Long and Courtney Brown, alongside a host of talented new faces making their pantomime debut with the society.
