Secrets of the London Underground (and of Yorkshire’s railways too)
Best known for his UKTV series “The Architecture the Railways Built” and “Secrets of the London Underground”, Tim has spent a lifetime exploring – or working for – Britain’s railways. His infectious enthusiasm for railway buildings and social history has enabled access to almost every corner of the system, and he’s never happier than when researching the oddest corner, finding out the facts and sharing what he discovers. With a long background in digital marketing and comms – including 7 years at the largest train ticket retailer, Trainline, today he works across the UK rail network and heritage railway sector writing for the media, and producing content like podcasts and videos.
In this evening talk, expect tales from the deepest abandoned tube tunnels and stories from the most fascinating stations. There’ll be unseen photos behind locked doors in London, and the stories of some of Yorkshire’s very best built railway heritage.
